With our separate cat and dog wards, purpose-built theatre and modern equipment capable of performing the latest surgical techniques, you can rest assured that if your pet does require surgery, they are in the best hands possible.
By having our own team of highly skilled and experienced veterinary surgeons, as well as a fantastic visiting surgeon, we can offer a number of routine and more complex procedures at our Horley clinic. More information on this can be found on our Referrals page.
Contact our team today to discuss what options are available for your pet and to book them in.
Our Horley branch offers a purpose-built and modern surgical theatre along with advanced technology for all routine surgeries. We also offer more complex procedures with our visiting orthopaedic surgeon and a number of other types of surgery can be referred to the team at our East Grinstead clinic.
Alongside the surgical tools and diagnostic equipment, each patient is always connected to the latest monitoring equipment throughout their surgery that measures their oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, blood pressure, their heart and respiratory rate and various other vitals. We routinely use intravenous catheters to administer intravenous fluids during the anaesthesia, helping to maintain your pet’s blood pressure. Our nursing team will also visually monitor your pet and immediately report any changes to the operating surgeon. Following the procedure, your pet will return to their own allocated space in our dog or cat specific wards, reducing stress and enhancing their comfort as they recover from their anaesthesia.
Each of our vets is scheduled a day ‘on ops’ so if you would like to book your pet in with a vet of your choice, please mention this to our reception team upon booking. However, please be aware that some surgeries must be completed by a specific vet or our visiting orthopaedic surgeon.
To find out more about our surgical facilities and how your pet will be cared for, contact our nursing team.
At our Horley practice we offer a range of surgical treatments, including:
• Neutering
• Dental Surgeries
• Orthopaedic surgeries with our visiting surgeon
Our East Grinstead clinic provides a much wider range of surgical procedures. To find out more visit their Surgery information page.
Our vets understand that each pet’s needs are unique so they will always take the time to discuss the options and risks of each surgery with you. This will help you to feel confident in your choice throughout the entire procedure. Whether it’s routine or an unexpected emergency, our team will work with you to determine the best choices for your pet. Do not hesitate to contact our team.
Before any surgery booking, your pet will receive a thorough examination and the option of a pre-operative blood test. This test screens for conditions that could affect your pet’s during surgery.
As your pet is admitted to the clinic, a member of our nursing team will go through the procedure your pet is booked for and any special requirements. Your pet will then be admitted to our hospital unit where they will have their own designated space in either our dog or cat ward whilst they are prepared for their operation by our nursing team. Post-surgery, they will return to that space to recover and be monitored by our highly trained veterinary and nurse team.
We understand that a successful surgery is just the first step on the road to recovery and our team will provide you with clear post-operative instructions and a follow-up care plan for your pet. This will help to ensure a smooth and worry-free recovery.
We are committed to providing the best surgical care for your pets, and we will be here to support you every step of the way. Whether it’s a routine procedure or an unexpected emergency, we are here to provide the highest level of care for your pet.
