If you are looking for a vet for your exotic or small furry pet, contact our team at Portland Vets.
We offer a first opinion service for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, mice, rats, snakes, geckos, bearded dragons and tortoises. Our team can also perform diagnostic tests such as x-rays or ultrasound scans, to help determine whether surgical intervention or hospitalisation is needed.
As a practice, Portland Vets recommends that your exotic and small furry pets are seen by a vet at least once a year, with tortoises having an appointment pre-hibernation. These yearly appointments can be for a number of health checks but we also offer claw clipping, rabbit vaccinations, dental checks for small furry pets, beak trimming for tortoises and also snake sexing.
We offer these appointments at all of our practices and have also designed a Pet Wellness Plan with rabbit owners in mind. This can help make your rabbit’s healthcare more affordable by helping with the costs of vaccinations to protect them against Viral Haemorrhagic Disease and Myxomatosis.
Our Standard Pet Wellness Plan for rabbits is £8 per month (does not include consultations or additional discounts).
Our Pet Wellness Plan Plus for rabbits is £15 per month (includes unlimited consultations and additional discounts).
Visit our Wellness Plan page for more information.
For more information on your tortoise’s healthcare, our vets recommend taking a look at the Tortoise Trust. Additionally, if you need to find somewhere safe for your tortoise to hibernate, why not check them in to our Hibernation Hotel over at East Grinstead?
