Jenny graduated from Sydney University Veterinary School in 1995. She spent 2 years working in farm practice in her hometown of Berridale in the beautiful Australian Alps, before deciding to travel to the UK to focus on small animal veterinary medicine. Jenny worked in several practices in the UK including several referral centres of excellence where she gained valuable experience, before opening Portland Vets with husband George.
Jenny was the only vet at Portland Vets for the first 20 months (24/7 on-call). In February 2006 a second vet joined the team; 20 years later, Portland Vets now employees 20 vets across 4 surgeries.
Jenny has stepped back from “vetting” in recent years to focus on her two daughter’s academic and sporting efforts, although she still keeps her ‘hand in’ with occasional holiday cover. Jenny has managed netball teams for several years leading to her U14 and U16 East Grinstead Club teams making it to UK National finals.
