We are delighted to announce that Portland Vets has secured land with planning permission to build a brand new, state-of-the-art veterinary practice in Forge Wood, Crawley RH10 3NQ. Our team is thrilled to have the opportunity to create a purpose built facility that will enable us to provide exceptional care for you and your pets for many years into the future.  It is planned to open end of 2024.

We understand that the cost of land in residential areas can be prohibitive, which is why we’ve taken a creative approach to designing our new practice. Despite the constraints, we have managed to incorporate four floors into the structure, which will have the look and feel of a Sussex Barn, paying homage to the area. Our new facility will be built from scratch, enabling us to incorporate facilities and standards associated with human hospitals, ensuring that your pets will receive the highest level of care possible.

We are also committed to sustainability and the environment. Our new practice will be extremely energy-efficient, with all heating from a heat recovery system, 30 solar panels and an air-source heat pump.

Since 2020 we have expanded all three surgery buildings and recruited accordingly; permitting Portland Vets to continue to grow every year. We still have capacity in our surgeries to register more clients and continue to deliver the high level of care all our clients expect to receive.
