At Portland Vets, we are proud to have staff who have a particular interest in pet behaviour. We know that your pet’s behaviour can impact a big part of your life, maybe limiting how you exercise them, how you interact with them in the house, or how they interact with others.
If you would like to book your pet in then please contact our reception team who will ask for your name, your pet’s name, your phone number and email address. Either Annabel or Emma will contact you to take an initial history, discuss appointment options and the associated fees. They will then email across a behaviour questionnaire for you to fill in to ensure that Portland Vets provides the best service possible for your pet.
Both Annabel and Emma have extensive experience dealing with animal behaviour; you can find out more information about them by visiting our Meet the Team page.
Depending on the results of the questionnaire you fill in about your pet’s behaviour, one of the following will be advised:
If you would like to visit the East Grinstead practice, then Annabel will be happy to see your pet. The initial assessment and questionnaire is charged at £24.75. Following this, if your pet requires immediate referral then there will be no further fees.
However, if your pet requires further guidance from a certified behaviourist, an additional charge of £27.30 will be added to your account.
If your pet requires a clinical veterinary examination to determine the cause of their behaviour issue, this is charged at £49.50.
