Exciting Progress! Building Takes Shape

We’re thrilled to share a major milestone in the construction of Crawley’s only independent veterinary practice – Portland Vets Crawley! This month, we’ve begun laying the block and beam floor, marking the start of visible above-ground construction. It’s incredibly exciting to see the building taking shape, and we can’t wait to continue sharing our progress with you.

Practice Feature Spotlight: Separate Waiting Areas for Cats & Dogs

At Portland Vets Crawley, we understand the unique needs of both cats and dogs. That’s why we’ve designed our practice with separate waiting rooms. This approach offers a range of benefits:

• Reduced Stress for Cats: Cats are often stressed by unfamiliar environments and the presence of dogs. A separate waiting room allows feline patients to relax in a calmer environment, leading to a more positive veterinary experience.
• Improved Safety for Both: Keeping cats and dogs separate minimises the risk of interaction and potential altercations, ensuring a safe space for all.
• A space that has been modified with your pet in mind: Lighting, differing calming products and a species specific layout, are all taken into consideration in the waiting areas. We will have cat carrier shelves in the cat area and dog treats at the ready in the dog area.

Going above and beyond, we’re also aiming to achieve the prestigious Cat Friendly Gold accreditation. This nationally recognised program acknowledges our commitment to creating a welcoming and stress-free environment for our feline patients.
