This year’s Paws in the Park was a huge success. We were in attendance the whole weekend, raising money for the East Grinstead Lions charity who do so much to help our local community. It was great to meet so many of you and your furry friends and watch you take part in some of the fun games and competitions we had on offer.
Congratulations to Ella Bradley who won our guess the number of treats competitions and her dog will be thrilled that they win the entire contents of the jar! Pauline Berry was the winner of our guess the breeds prize draw and has won a Vaccinations for Life voucher. Portland team pet Mari came 2nd in fastest recall and sat proudly with her rosette.
The vet team were kept busy with a few poorly paws, a cut ear and several other first aid call outs We are pleased that all went away patched up and feeling better.
Next year we will be the official vets on site, ready to help with all of your dog’s first aid needs again and the team will be running the popular Temptation Alley – we hope to see you all there!
Please find a link to Book tickets for Paws in the Park, if you would like to come along next year.
In addition to the launch of our new website, we have also had several other exciting developments this year:
We opened our new cat only clinic at our Edenbridge branch, mentioned in this month’s Vet Times magazine. The cat clinic has been built by converting a brick-built former house adjacent to the existing branch, solely for our feline patients.
More information can be found on the website and it is quick and easy to register your cat.
Earlier this year we launched our new enhanced PetWellness Plus plan for dogs, cats and rabbits. In addition to the preventative benefits of our standard pet wellness plan, our new plan includes unlimited vet and nurse appointments for just one monthly amount. This means that pet owners can access the care their pets need without having to worry about the cost.
“We are delighted to announce the opening of our new cat clinic and the launch of our enhanced PetWellness Plus plan,” said George Christopherson, Managing Director of Portland Vets. “These developments are a reflection of our commitment to providing the highest standards of care for our patients, and we are already seeing these changes being welcomed by our clients.”
