Portland Vets are looking for a new colleague to become a lead vet at our Edenbridge practice. This practice is growing well and we have recently built a separate gold standard ISFM cat friendly practice on site so we need an enthusiastic individual to nurture and expand this business.
Portland vets is a unique independent group of practices that put their staff first. A dedicated management team are always striving for new ways to provide the best working environment. Times are changing and the veterinary world needs to move and adapt so that staff can feel safe and heard. We are fortunate to have a team of staff members have been with us a long time, who are committed to providing the best possible care for our patients. If staff members move on, it is typically to pursue non-clinical opportunities within the veterinary profession.
Our shifts are 8 hours, consults are 15 minutes long, but 30 minute consults can be booked for more complex cases and usually 1 hour for euthanasia’s. We book consults in a mindful way making sure to provide time for admin, which is monitored and protected. We utilise Petsapp to allow easier communication with our clients. Our East Grinstead branch provides overnight inpatient care, so there would be no weekday out of hours with this position just 1 in 3 Saturday morning shifts (3 hours).
